Immigration exams

Our Panel physician, Dr. David Gerring & team perform immigration medical exams using eMedical, for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the following categories:

  • Permanent residency application

  • New refugees to Canada

  • Family sponsorship

  • Work visa

  • Visitor visa

  • Student visa

Monday-Friday 9am-2:30pm

What to bring

You must bring one of the following identification documents:

  • Original Passport (preferred document)

  • National Identification Card

  • Canadian driver’s License

  • Refugee Protection Claimant Document, Refugee Travel Document

  • Copy of Passport Certified by a Canadian Visa Office

  • Red Cross Travel Document, UN Laissez-passer

Your document must be original and valid

You must also bring the following:

  • Any forms or letters received from  the IRCC

  • All your prescription medications

  • Medical reports relevant to significant medical conditions such as cancers or significant hospitalizations

  • Eye glasses or contacts

Do not bring passport photos (we will take a digital photo)

Appointment & fees

  • Have your ID and required documents ready.

  • You will complete a medical history questionnaire and sign a declaration from IRCC.

  • We will check your height, weight, blood pressure, test your vision, obtain a urine sample, and take your digital photo. 

  • Immigration Exam Fee: $200 Adult

    • Discounted rates for children and families

We accept cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard

  • ​After your appointment you will proceed to an approved laboratory to complete your blood test and x-ray:

    • Chest x-ray (age 11 +), Fee: $60 est.

    • Blood test: creatinine, hiv, syphilis (age 15+),Fee: $25 est.

    • Other tests required will incur additional fees

  • Total cost estimate : $280

After your exam

Your test results will be automatically sent back to our panel physician and uploaded to eMedical. We will contact you before uploading your file to eMedical if your results require a follow-up

 

The IRCC will make the final decision regarding your immigration medical exam. If there is an issue with your medical exam, the visa office will contact you in writing.

You will receive an email notification after booking your apt. You may cancel or reschedule directly from your email notification. If there are any issues, please contact us by email: reception.rfmc@gmail.com .

 

If you received an IME NUMBER, please provide it in the appropriate field while booking.

 

If you are a new refugee, please do not book online and submit the "IME appointment request" further down on this page. We will contact you within 1-2 business days for an appointment
