If you are in Canada and you have already completed an IME as part of a previous application, you may be exempt from completing another one if you meet certain conditions. Refer to IRCC for more information:
Our Panel physicians perform immigration medical exams for the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the following categories:

We use eMedical to submit your case online directly to the IRCC.

What to bring
You must bring one of the following identification documents:

Original Passport (preferred document)

National Identification Card
-
Canadian driver’s License
-
Refugee Protection Claimant Document, Refugee Travel Document

Copy of Passport Certified by a Canadian Visa Office
-
Red Cross Travel Document, UN Laissez-passer
Your document must be original and valid
You must also bring the following:

Any forms or letters received from the IRCC

All your prescription medications
-
Medical reports relevant to significant medical conditions such as cancers or significant hospitalizations

Eye glasses or contacts
-
Covid vaccine records if available
Do not bring passport photos (we will take a digital photo)
Appointment & fees

Have your ID and required documents ready.

You will complete a medical history questionnaire and sign a declaration from IRCC.

We will check your height, weight, blood pressure, test your vision, obtain a urine sample, and take your digital photo.

Immigration Exam Fee

$235 age 15-74 with blood test on site
-
$260 age 75 plus with blood test on site

$180 age 14 and younger

Please be advised that additional fees my apply if other testing is required by the IRCC such as completion of an ADL or mini-mental form.

After your appointment, you will complete your x-ray onsite.

Chest x-ray (age 11 +), Fee: $70 estimated

Blood test (age 15+) taken on site: creatinine, HIV, Syphilis

(PLEASE DO NOT FAST. Eat as usual and drink plenty of water)

Other tests required will incur additional fees

First time refugee exam costs are covered by IRCC
To complete 2 days before your appointment
After your exam
Your test results will be automatically sent back to our panel physician and uploaded to eMedical. We will contact you before uploading your file to eMedical if your results require a follow-up.
Copies of reports: You may request a copy of your report 10 days after completing your exam. We charge a fee of $15 for such requests. You may email your request to reception.rfmc@gmail.com. Ensure to provide your full name, date of birth and contact number in your request.
The IRCC will make the final decision regarding your immigration medical exam. If there is an issue with your medical exam, the visa office will contact you in writing.
